Tractor Trailer 'A' Class Driver Training
Pro-Tech Training Services is pleased to announce that we now provide training to drivers looking to acquire their Class ‘A’ Driver Licence. Drivers seeking a commercial full Class A licence in Ontario must complete a mandatory entry-level training course before attempting their road test. The new requirement will ensure commercial drivers have the experience and training needed to safely operate large trucks on Ontario’s roads. The mandatory training course will apply to all new applicants for commercial full Class A licence. This course will cover entry-level knowledge and skills that a truck driver must possess in order to operate a Class A vehicle safely including basic driving techniques, tractor-trailer off-road maneuvers, vehicle inspection activities and more. The course takes about 4 weeks to complete and will take place at Pro-Tech’s Training Centre in Napanee, Ontario.
Participant Guidelines and Requirements:
- Students must have a valid Ontario Driver Licence (G Class or higher)
- 18 years of age or older
- Attendance and participation in entire course is required
- Absolutely no admittance to classroom once course instruction is in progress. Students must be on time
Paid course fee includes:
- Student Handbook
- 108 hrs of Tractor-Trailer Classroom instruction, in-yard, in cab with off-road and on-road training
